Geometry
The students will learn to write informal geometric proofs using definitions, postulates, and theorems.  They will study geometric figures including triangles, quadrilaterals, other polygons, and circles.  The students will also study parallel and perpendicular lines, transformations of the plane, the Pythagorean Theorem, and the formulae for area and volume.  Some non-Euclidean geometry may be presented.
