The DeLaSalle Social Studies Department  offers elective classes which include overseas travel. Through our partnership with Hamline University students are able to earn up to four semester hours of transferable college credit.  These are rigorous courses - involving reading, discussing, questioning and working independently - so that students are prepared to be engaged and informed travelers. Our expectations while traveling are similarly high and our student travelers have consistently demonstrated admirable levels of civility and curiosity.

The goals of this program include:

• Provide students an opportunity to extend their learning and education beyond the classroom
• Foster global awareness in a direct fashion
• Instill an appreciation for the variety and beauty of the world.
